My Dining Table with Bench Combination

Many people think that storage benches are the epitome of tacky furniture but the fact of the matter is that they are anything but. My dining table with bench combination is far from the most lavish piece of furniture ever created but it brings me happiness and joy every time I look at it. Sure, the idea of using a piece of furniture as a table and a makeshift closet is something that takes some getting used to but I think that we all can agree that most of us have way too much stuff and it is usually spilling out of the garage or cluttering up the attic. Who among us can say that we have enough space to store our goods without having them ruin the look of at least one of our rooms?

To be fair, most folks would probably tell me that a dining table with bench setup is far from the only storage bench on the market and that I should instead purchase, say, a window bench or an outdoor storage bench. I disagree. I don't like the idea of my items being stored outside where they can fall prey to such natural problems as rain, insects, sunlight, or anything else. On the same token, I don't like benches that are placed right in front of a window. One problem is that my windowsills extend out too far and thus it is essentially impossible for me to sit on one without getting splinters on my face. Also, I don't particularly like the idea of sitting on a bench with no back right in front of a window. Forgive me if i don't feel like sitting in front of a pane of glass and staring at the driveway and my worthless Escort. I also am not fond of the idea of people walking by on the street and glancing at me looking out of the window like a complete moron.

A dining table with bench combination probably bothers people because of the fact that it sort of combines the classic and important concept of eating with the seedy element of storing things. To these people I say "go sit on a sideways nail". Who cares if I like storing my things under my dining room table? What business is it of yours how I decide to set up my living arrangements? Is your life that empty that you need to spend precious moments of your existence worrying about where I eat and what I eat on top of? To put it bluntly, this is my life and this is how I want to live it. A dining table with a bench in it is convenient and nobody has to know that I have envelopes and old magazines hidden inside. With that said, I hereby declare that I am a proud and noble owner of a storage bench that doubles as a dining table and I couldn't be happier about it.
